About us

Mi Mì Café was started by Mi and Dan Sullivan during the 2020 pandemic in Eau Claire WI. Dan and Mi both lost their jobs and their careers due to the restrictions on daily life caused by COVID-19. Having lost much of their income, and with a baby on the way, they started selling the one truly unique thing that they could make very very well; Vietnamese Coffee. After some work and perseverance, this coffee gathered a small following of loyal customers who then began asking “Hey, what else can you make?” This started their adventure into the world of Vietnamese cuisine, starting with the locally famous banh mi that they are now known for.

After serving food off of a street cart for a year, they managed to save up enough to buy a food trailer, and Mi Mì Café as it’s known today was born.

our Bánh Mì

What is Bánh Mì?: The name comes from the Vietnamese word for “bread”. Bánh Mì is a Vietnamese sandwich made from one of several different kinds of meats, a special crunchy and light baguette, cucumbers, pickled carrots and radish, beef liver pate, Vietnamese butter sauce, jalapenos, and cilantro. It’s a super sandwich that holds every kind of flavor and texture you can think of.

What’s Special About Our Bánh Mì?: We make our bánh mì 100% in-house. From the bread to the meat to all the fixin’s, we make everything ourselves and get nothing premade from stores. We also source as many ingredients as we can from local sources.
